We are delighted that just over 100 artists entered and we were able to offer them the chance to compete and enjoy an immersive, creative experience. More than that, we welcomed many more supporters and art lovers in the wider community who enjoyed the sunshine, an Otter Gallery exhibition and free copies of The Artist magazine. It was such a heartwarming day.

Thank you to our wonderful judges, artists Maria Rose and Tom Stephenson for their support and valuable critique. For amateur entrants to those with more experience, this was a rare and important opportunity to glean advice from career artists and exhibit in a professional gallery.
On a beautiful sunny bank holiday weekend, artists began arriving with canvases tucked under their arms, keen to register and get painting. As they settled down to painting, we were delighted to see families enjoying the atmosphere and discovering the Otter Gallery and Studio. The sense of support and camaraderie was palpable and continued throughout the day as visitors settled down with their copy of The Artist magazine and enjoyed scones with cream and jam provided by Cloisters of Wimborne! Beautiful bouquets from Cloud Cuckoo adorned the marquee and refreshments were provided by our friends at East Street Deli.
