We are actively collaborating with the recently established "Otter Artists Society".
This collective has been created to unite working artists in Wimborne and surrounding areas, fostering a supportive community in the often solitary nature of the life of an artist. Additionally, the society serves as a professional network for artists.

Philippa Headley
Landscapes and seascape artistWebsiteFrom initial plein air tonal study to finished painting, the process allows my creativity to intervene at each step – whether selecting the colour palette to reflect first light at sunrise or darkening stormy skies through to finalising compositional adjustments and surface textures.

Monica Moe
WebsiteHer artworks combine and balance of colours in harmony, in a ongoing dialog between her and the canvas. A meditative experience creating an energy of calm in her artworks. She is inspired by textures and perfect imperfections. Never knowing exactly where the work will go when started. Seeking a raw and feminine edge in her finished paintings. Working with acrylic on canvas and paper, sometimes mixing in other mediums.

Cliff Towler
Wildlife ArtistWebsiteCliff Towler’s work has been displayed in many galleries over the years. His success secret is simple: do what you love… He loves painting studies of local wildlife. Avocets, oystercatchers, puffins resting on the rocks in Purbeck, or an osprey catching its prey. His detailed, vibrantly coloured and gentle paintings capture the animals in movement.

Sharon Raymond
Abstract ArtistI was introduced to abstract art by a friend in 2017, until that point I had worked in watercolours and always had to paint what I saw. I suddenly found a freedom in my art that I hadn’t experienced before.I could express my love of music and dance through colours and shapes. It was truly a life changing moment.

Emma Sophie
WebsiteLocated in Wimborne, I'm an artist and devoted art/photography teacher at a local secondary school. Fueled by a deep love for the sea and the enchanting coastline, my work revolves around mixed media oil paintings portraying abstract sea scenes. To add a poignant touch, I incorporate sea plastic collected from the Jurassic Coast, weaving a narrative that not only celebrates the beauty of the sea but also addresses the pressing issue of plastic pollution. -
Julie Vatcher
Fluid ArtistWebsiteJulies paintings flow with the seasons and depict landscapes, seascapes and wild flowers. She uses a combination of techniques, including fluid art and brush work, drawing inspiration from the wonderful area in which she lives, from the seashore to the soft rolling hills that surround Dorset.
Her art conveys a calmness and whilst fluid art is often abstract, Julie uses various techniques to achieve wonderful effects, working with the shapes and patterns this creates, she uses brushes to add depth and detail, transforming it into a landscape or seascape.
